Madison Paul-McQuinn

Hello/Kwey! My name is Madison, and I am a proud early childhood educator. I graduated from NBCC with honours in Early Childhood Education in 2022. Currently, I am completing my B.Ed in Early Childhood Education which gives me knowledge and certification to teach Kindergarten to Grade 2. Roughly 2 years’ experience as an After-School Educator paired with my educational background will serve as a foundation to collaborating on a strong school-aged program.

My experience as an Indigenous student has led me to where I am today. My pedagogy has strong roots in social-emotional learning, honouring children’s autonomy, and appreciating children for who they are, no matter their background. I believe that building a strong sense of belonging in students plays an integral role in helping them meet their full potential. My goal is to create an environment where students always feel safe and in turn, can learn through hands on exploration with their peers and Educators. Beyond this, I am always sharing my love of outdoor and messy play with the children I work with!

When I am not in the classroom, you might find me enjoying a coffee downtown, playing The Legend of Zelda, or listening to live music! I love to dance, sing, and enjoy the simple curiosities of everyday life. I strive to be a life-long learner and am looking forward to learning with the families and children I meet along my journey.
