My name is Sarah Somerville and I graduated from Atlantic Business College with my ECE and EA diplomas in 2017. I did my student practicum with Little Geniuses in the Preschool Room and was offered a position within that program upon completion.
I worked there as a Preschool Educator until 2021, when I left to pursue a university degree. I am currently working on a double honors degree in Philosophy and History at St. Thomas University.
Thankfully Little Geniuses found a part time position for me. A few months after I left, I was offered a part time position as the Morning Preschool Educator and After-School Educator for 2021-2022. Now I am a part of the Preschool Program once again as a part-time Educator going forward. As an Educator I believe in process over product in our activities and our environments.
I love science and literacy, and I spend a fair amount of my free-time planning science experiments and fun and engaging ways to teach literacy to Preschoolers. I love mess making and experimentation; I hope to be able to incorporate some of my messy love of science into the coming Preschool Room years. I am also a mother of two wonderful children, and four spectacular guinea pigs! I enjoy comic books, video games, and Pinterest.
